TRiPGiFT consortium consists of 6 partners from 3 different countries.

The TRiPGiFT consortium will undertake the creation of an integrated interdisciplinary 3D digital imaging open platform, for virtual field trips in relation with geoscience phenomena, giving the opportunity to visit different virtual environments.

In compliance with Article 25 of L.4602/2019 (issued: March 9th, 2019), the Institute of Geology and Mineral Exploration (I.G.M.E.) of Greece was wound up, while a new Authority entitled Hellenic Survey of Geology and Mineral Exploration (HSGME) was established in its place. HSGME is a legal entity governed by public law and supervised by the Minister for the Environment and Energy. The objective of the Hellenic Survey of Geology and Mineral Exploration (HSGME) is to investigate and scientifically monitor geological and mining issues on behalf of the State, to carry out studies and provide individuals or legal entities of public or private law with its opinion in the fields of geosciences, geohazards, geoenvironment, energy, mining and other related subjects, to perform the geological, hydrogeological and mining research of the country, including exploitation studies of underground resources and to exercise control and regulatory competent activities. FEDERATION EUROPEENNE DES GEOLOGUES, European Federation of Geologists (E10270635 – Belgium)

The European Federation of Geologists (EFG) is a not-for-profit professional geoscience organization focused on the promotion of excellence in the application of geology, in raising public awareness of the importance of geosciences for society and in the setting and international benchmarking of professional standards and qualifications for geoscientists. EFG was established in France in 1981 and its membership covers today 26 European countries. EFG adheres to the principles of professional responsibility and public service and certifies the competence, integrity and ethical conduct of professional geologists. Professional geologists contribute with their expertise in education, research and applied practice to industry and governments in a wide range of activities that are vital to society and to protection of the public. The National Observatory of Athens (NOA), established in 1842, is the oldest research centre in Greece and a public entity, supervised by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology. The Institute for Environmental Research and Sustainable Development (IERSD) is one of three Institutes of NOA, and it was established in 1846. The main activities of IERSD focus on: (a) meteorology and hydrology (operational weather forecasts, meteorological and hydrological observations and modelling with emphasis on extreme hydrometeorological events and the study of surface and
underground water bodies), (b) the atmospheric environment (investigation of physico-chemical processes in the atmosphere based on observations and models, air quality and other environmental pressure studies), (c) climate and climate change (studies of the past, current and future climate trends and extremes, on the assessment of the environmental, financial and social impacts of climate change and on adaptation and mitigation measures) and (d) energy (building typologies, energy efficiency, solar energy resources, energy modeling and planning. UNIVERSITY OF CYPRUS (E10208585 – Cyprus)

The Software Engineering and Internet Technologies (SEIT) Laboratory is an integral part of the Department of Computer Science of the University of Cyprus. (SEIT) focuses its research activities on two important areas of Information Technology, namely Software Engineering and Internet Technologies. In the second area, the Laboratory concentrates its expertise on the development of ICT-enabled Creativity and Enhanced Learning Environments, platforms and tools. SEIT has extensive experience in the area of applying ICT to Technology Enhanced Learning (e-Learning, m-Learning, Blended Learning and Open and Distance Learning) in general, as well as Life Long Learning in particular. This expertise is both at technical level and at developing policies and qualification frameworks for such activities. SEIT is currently participating in two AAL projects: eSticky, and GUIDed, and in one national project: ReaDI-STANCE, all of them related to different themes of the ERASMUS+ programme. Learn more

ASPETE( is a tertiary –Higher Education Institute. Students attend the 5-year cycle of studies and gain a diploma both as engineers and as engineering educators(see
ASPETE offers for many years courses leading to the Pedagogical Certificate for many disciplines as training programs (
The essential character of ASPETE is the integration of engineering with pedagogy through the 5 years of undergraduate studies.
Members of the personnel included in the proposal have the technical as well as the pedagogical capacity to develop education scenario that follow the interdisciplinary STEAM content epistemological approach, containing the development of physical computing artifacts related to artificial and augmented reality.

In ASPETE the Lab “Educational Applications of Computational Sciences and Educational Technology Laboratory” is working on STEAM epistemology and applications in physical computing, AR and VR applications.ECSET.LAB (Government Gazette 2920, 17-7-2020) serves the STEAM Education(
